PG and scared

Hi,

I have read a lot of what was posted but no one seems to have been on the same amount of clonopin as I am.I take cellexa 20 mg every day, that seem to be Ok to take. But I also have clonopin 2mg pills to take in case of need.Ever since I learned I was PG my attacks are getting worse.I know that clonopin is bad, but the lower dosage does nothing for me and the 2 mg seems so high compared to what I have read here.Does any one know someone who took 2mg pills.
I also have trouble sleeping and the clonopin allows me to fall asleep. So right now I am anxious and not sleeping, which is probably not good either.I did not have my first OB appointment yet and I will talk about it when I do, but it will be a while. So if anyone has any helpful advice and can calm me down that would be great.

TIA

I've been having panic attacks for the past five weeks. I used to have them about a year and a half ago but they completely stopped when I got pregnant and had my little girl. Two months after giving birth I had my emergency gallbladder surgery due to multiple stones and the anxiety came back. Now I take .25 of clonopin in the am and .15 in the pm. This time around the anxiety has been worse because it's caused a lot of stomach distress and now I also take nexium twice a day.  I know what it feels like to be constantly scared and worried and then get upset because you just can't "get over it" and enjoy your family. I guess there is no easy answer just know that you are not alone. They say that exercise and vitamin B6 can help. My worry now is the future. I wanted to have more kids but how can I when I take the clonopin? Keep in touch.

My name is lee-Anne and i developed severe anxiety dissorder , panick attacks and a form of postnatel dep after having my baby, it's strange how it just hit me out of the blue i real bad dep through pregnancy to.
I was given Larazapam for my panick attacks and to help me sleep, i was even given them during pregnancy and still on them now along with velafaxine, I have fears of death and get convinced i'm going to die i think it comes from after my c. section i developed a pe on my lungs and thought i was going to die i recently came off warfrin for this and its like my saftey net has been taken away and i am so anxious about it, i constantly get anxiety everyday, always get sweats and heart racing etc etc its awful i feel i wont live to see my 11 month boy grow up and i dont want to be afraid anymore just want to enjoy the amazing family i have without this huge dark cloud hanging over me. I was also in a mother & baby unit for 3 months after which i dont think helped as i felt so safe there i was so afraid when it was time to leave, i dont go out alone to scared, no confidence as i always fear something awful is going to happen to me.
Can anyone relate to this Lol Xxx

All benzos and some AD's should be avoided during pregnancy, I agree with Brenndy , Please go talk to your Doc about this, I know It will be EXTREMELY HARD to deal with the anxiety and what not, but the way I look at it, is these meds they put us on Directly influence are mind and body and controls are CNS and chemical imbalances, and would hate to see what they do to a unborn child.
But....your doc may say the same as mamaos, to take very sparingly, and try not to take it at all.
to answer your question though.
Klonopin "clonazapam" is not a "as needed" benzodiazapine, it is a preventative that is best taken twice a day, and could take up to 2 weeks to reach a steady plasma level, where you have it in you at all times, controlling your CNS and keeping you anxiety away before it even has a chance to hit hard.
A friend of mine has been taking Klonopin for about 15 years, he can not tolerate any anti D's or anything, just the Klonopin, he swears by it, and take 1MG in the Morning, 1Mg at night.
Thats the better thing about Klonopin is that it has a lower level of tolerance issues.
But please definitely talk to your Doc.
Good luck

Hi. I have Gad and panic disorder. I am 39 and  PG also with #7! As of now my anxiety has gotten horrible since entering my 2nd trimester :(  Im on no meds except my doc told me if it got bad enough I could take zanax as needed and veryy sparingly.  I have taken it a cpl times in the last month but only 1/2 of a .25. I still feel awful for doing it, but like I said, its only when I get into the shaking phase so bad I think Im going to die. I have called a counseling office and Im waiting for them to call back toset up an appointment. I dont think I can go another 5 months dealing with this on my own. Im sorry Im not more help on the meds part of the question, but just wanted to let you know you are not alone. Take care!

I think you need to speak to, or make an appointment, with the physician who is prescribing the Celexa and the Klonopin rather than waiting for your OB appointment.
