no ur not a drug addict....if it helps you get through the panick so that you can go on normally with your life, then i see nothing wrong with that....i have been there, believe me.  your body might become addicted to it, but if your only taking it as perscribed then your fine. people get addicted to certain meds, but it helps them lead a normal life.  i take clonapin every day, and it improves the quality of my life...if i dont take it, then i go through withdrawls....so i would rather take it.

It is very common to feel bad anxiety in the morning.   Beginning a new day can cause anxiety just because you get up and the first thing you do is think about the day ahead, and then what I tend to do is think about my anxiety.   Which consequently sometimes makes me sick to my stomach as well. Have you always suffered from anxiety?  What I try to do is immediately get out of bed and try to start my day.  When I think about my anxiety to much or just lay in bed, I find it makes me much more anxious then if I just get up right away and go do something.   When you are anxious it is ok to take a little something if needed.  Tomorrow morning try to think positively when you first arise for the day.  If you notice yourself getting anxious, take some very deep breaths, also if you can try to get up right away. Anxiety medication can sometimes just be an extra push through the rough times.  I know this is all very much easier said then done.

How long have you been suffering from panic attacks?  How long have you been taking the sedative?  If that's the only drug you are taking and if you are taking it as prescribed I would say that you are not a drug addict.  Have you seen your doctor about them?
