SIDE EFFECT OF LEXAPRO?

OK here goes.  Approx 3 weeks ago I started 10mg of Lexapro.  After starting it and being on it for about a week I noticed a "tingling" feeling in my legs and feet.  I tried to put up with it and then it started in my face.  The feeling was at first tingling but then my feet, legs and face started to feel like the skin was very tight on it.  I stopped taking the Lexapro about six days ago and I STILL have the feeling of very  bad tightness of the skin on my legs, feet and face.  Feels like the skin on my face doesn't fit.  Could the Lexapro still be in my system?  I was on it for about three weeks and have been off it about six days.

i didnt really get bad side effects from lexapro, except weight gain and sexual side effects. i have been taking lexapro for about 3 months, i am trying to taper off of it because of the weight gain, but within two days i start getting these horrible symptoms, like tingling, burning sensation, dysphoria, suicidal thoughts, its very scary, so i am back on them, every time i try and quit, i feel like i am going to have a nervous breakdown.

I was put on lexapro back in oct.I had to stop taking it it.I would get tingling feelings and hot and cold feelings. They felt like they were raging through my body.Scared me so bad it would cause me to have worse panic attacks. My doc told me its a side effect of them.I no longer take them or any ssri.I somehow get all the side effects and my doc says im sensitive to the ssri so she put me on klonopin and it seems to help that and therepy.Hope that helps some.

Yes I was having mild anxiety issues.  I have never taken an SSRI before.  I am going crazy at the moment.  My face feels like the skin is stretched to its max, as the skin above my knee caps and my feet have the same feeling.  I have not talked to my doc yet.  This is the weirdest feeling I have ever had and kinda scary too.  Even my eyes feel funny.

Were you anxious about taking it in the first place?  Have you had similar side effects with other SSRIs like Lexapro?  Medications can all affect us differently.  I know when I first started taking an SSRI, I noticed a myriad of side effects.  It was probably both mental and physical because I was nervous about starting it and my problem was with health anxiety, so naturally I focused in on any symptom that I may be having be it related to the medication or not....I linked everything to it in my mind though.  Have you talked to your doctor about it?
