Hi there...Gosh yes the tingling is a freaky thing isn't it?? when i am really anxious my feet tingle. 8 years ago i self diagnosed the tingling (wrongly) as a neuro disease and spiralled downwards until a small dose of antidepressant "saved" me. Nowadays i realize it must be hyperventilation-altho i am tempted to diagnose bad diseases at the drop of a hat. If you focus on these symptoms, the anxiety and symptoms increase. Easy to say of course...virtually impossible to do when you are in panic mode. I hope you are feeling better and getting some help from a good therapist or counsellor if you can't stop worrying. best wishes.
Sounds like anxiety/stress to me. Maybe even a little bit of depression mixed in. If your Doctors did all the tests, then it sounds like you got a clean bill of health. :)
The tingling, I deal with a lot. It can happen when I'm not "feeling" too stressed, but it's my brain telling me "HEY! YOU ARE OVERDOING IT IN LIFE RIGHT NOW BUD!"
But if I focus on the symptom too much, my mental and physical anxiety can get out of control fast!
2 days ago, I started getting tingling on my scalp in a remote area. It was gone yesterday, but I felt anxious yesterday, and some today. But I've been doing my coping skills, trying to get better rest etc. and so I don't LET IT go full blown anxiety. :)
Worry does nothing good for us. Try to relax okay? Maybe a talk therapist will help! It helps me! :) Good luck!
Sometimes my body aches and then it doesn't. It also started about three weeks when I went to the ER. I started to tingle and my palm of my left hand got clammy. The did an EKG which was normal. But the chest X-Ray Said I had air space in my left lower lung that(could)represent air space consolidation. Had a follow up 2 doctors. Who reviewed all lab and x rays did not say anything negative. Prior to that I felt 100% fine. Since that day I have been worried day in and day out. Thank you nurse girl6572
Hello there!
When you say you've "been in pain for two weeks", could you elaborate? Are you talking about physical pain? If so, what's the nature of your pain, and when did it start? Could you elaborate more? Or, are you speaking of emotional pain?
Thank you so much, had of blood draws, doctors say results are ok.
Hi, It is not normal to be in a lot of pain. Anxiety can be triggered by unmanaged and uncontrolled pain. When pain goes up so does usually your blood pressure and heart rate which can make you suseptible to pain. Also, if you are not getting the answers you need this can contribute to your anxiety. Your brain is hardwired to make sure you survive. If it thinks your body is sick, hurt or in need of something it will send you signals to get what you need.
Also, there are several possible chemical and physiologic reasons behind anxiety onset.
Please do not subscribe to your malady as being "all in your head" while there are such things as psycho-somatic illnesses and being chronically stressed and tense can make your muscles hurt you should at minimum get some treatment for your pain and anxiety. There are many simple remedies for that.
Have the doctor do a well person exam with blood work and EKG - this should be covered by your insurance but check first and find out what labs you have had in the past year.
Common overall blood work can include:
CBC w Differential, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Glucose, thyroid and Hepatic function.
Common in a well person exam also includes Blood Pressure check, Pulse Ox, Urinalysis and EKG
Where is your pain coming from what initiated it and what has been done to investigate it?
