Severe Anxiety & Pain

Can anyone help with the severe pain I get with my anxiety.  My anxiety causes so much pain that stays with me and I can't seem to find a local psychologist that will take a mix of anxiety depression and pain.

Need support.

I can't really diagnose you obviously.  Consider that fibromyalgia is a weakening disease, and the meds you're taking are also sedating, so they might be further weakening you.  This may pass as you get used to them, or it might not.  And it could be something else altogether.  I'd definitely check with your doctor, and I might also try a holistic nutritionist to try and work on strengthening your system over the long term.  Good luck.

I do have fibromyalgia but the pain didn't feel like this until the last couple of months.  I seem to be getting weaker, more joint pain and the deep prickly pain.  Can't bare to stay in bed in the morning because it hurts to just lay there.

Did this start before or after you went on the meds?  Both ones you're taking can have side effects, and they're different for everyone.  But just offhand, I'd have to say, from being on several different meds and having anxiety a long time, I don't know that it sounds very typical.  Have you been tested for fibromyalgia and the like?

I have a burning, prickly pain all over.  My hands are now so tender it's hard to even type.  I have the muscle mass, but just sitting or laying down is painful.  On Cymbalta and Lyrica but not helping very much.  If I have anxiety I get muscle tension and more pain.  Viscous cycle which now after a year and 1/2 has also kindly left me with depression and I'm generally a pretty happy person.

I have been seeing a psychiatrist and he hasn't been much help.  Thanks.  Had an interview with a psychologist last week and he wouldn't take me on as a patient, for him my problems were to complex.  This is the 4th one I've tried.

You need to find a psychiatrist as they are most knowledgeable with the medications and what will work best for you.  I know this isn't much help at this point, I'm sure others will jump on here with some good advice.  Most of us have dealt with this, so know you're not alone, we're always here for support.  Take care....
