Hey Schindler.
I have the coldest sweatiest hands in the world I think. They will literally drip sweat on occasion. It's really unpleasant, so I feel your pain.
I've found a solution. It's just prescription strength deodorant. It's actually sitting next to my keyboard right now. Aluminum Chloride (Hexahydrate). It's so great to actually be able to shake someone's hand after 25 years of avoiding it. I think I shake hands too often, just because I finally can.
Unfortunately from my understanding and experience, you still sweat the same amount, just in different places. At first I used it on both hands and armpits, but this would make me sweat more elsewhere. So now I only put it on my right hand for handshakes. I wear those wife beater undershirts and they soak up some of the sweat from my pits. In the summer I might use the deodorant on my armpits, but it tends to make my back or my butt sweat more. For this I'll just wear two t-shirts or two pairs of underwear.
But yea. Use this stuff. It's great. You put it on everyday for a week and after that you only have to use it about once a week.
The sweating is definitely related to anxiety cuz I don't sweat so much when I'm just at home. I choose not to take anxiety meds because I don't care for how they make me feel. But for you that might be an option. Even just curbing the sweating with this deodorant helps anxiety some, so that's a nice bonus.
Hope it works out for ya. Best of luck.
Every now and then, someone poses a question which REALLY should be put before an expert, as well to the members of the "regular" forums of the "ordinary" folks like us. And sometimes, people come to THIS forum by mistake, thinking a doctor may be here. Posts which start with, "Dear Doctor," are an example. Well, there might be a doctor here, but not in an official capacity.
To get an Expert Opinion, click "Forums" at the top of the page, then look at the "Ask a Doctor Forums" on the RIGHT side of your screen. Then, click the Forum title you want. Looks and works same as this forum.
This is not a "brush-off," I just want to certain you are getting what you need, and what you're asking for.
Thanks!
