anxiety/throat/neck

ive been dealing with anxiety for a few months, but recently ive been having symptoms that really concern me. i have a lot of neck pain/stiffness on the left side, head pressure, ear fullness, throat tigjtness, always tired, dry eyes and the sensation of something stuck on the right side of my throat. i can pretty much deal with everytging except for the feeling of something in my throat, its driving me crazy. no matter how much or how hard i swallow or how much or how hard i hard, its still there (the past 3-4 days). can all thi be anxiety related? should i be worried? please help!

I also constantly worry about my heart. Anxiety is truly ruling my life, because I worry about my health every minute of the day. I always think I'm going to die. I'm over-aware of everything happening with my body and it really drives me crazy. I refuse to turn to medication... I want to try other things like change in diet and exercise first. my doctor diagnosed me with anxiety at my first appointment after spending less than 5 minutes in the room with me. I'm not convinced that he thinks theres nothing else wrong. I don't know what to do to get my mind under control, but I'm not taking the zoloft...

Hi I am 25 and I am going through some bad anxiety at the moment myself. Mine is more health anxiety were I think I'm going to have a heart attack etc. It got to the point were I got depressed because it was ruling my life. I now take propananol and I take citraloplan and they realy are helping but I still worry that I am going to colapse with a heart attack all the time. I would say give the medication a go because I never for months and wish now that I had. Is there anything else you want to ask because I no how good it makes you feel to speak with someone who knows how you feel xxx

I'm confident your doctor ruled out anything serious before suggesting anxiety. The last thing he wants is a lawsuit on his hands, so you can believe he will explore all possibilities before flippantly suggesting something less serious.

Anxiety causes muscle and ligament tension. Over time pain can develop and a lot of these pains often develop in our sleep. You may have slept in such a way that caused some pain or discomfort. Or it's just from the constant tension of the stress you've been under.

It might be worth trying the Zoloft to see if it allows you to relax and then move on with your life. If you are otherwise paralyzed with fear, the Zoloft might help to offer some much needed relief.

thank you, i appreciate it. do you personally think its possible to treat anxiety without the use of medication? my doctor gave me zoloft a month ago, but i havent taken it because of all the horrible things ive heard about it, but i also dont want to rely of medication to try to feel better. i want to start doing zumba classes. i also want to change my diet. im 300 lbs, ive always been heavy my entire 23 years of life, so maybe if i change my weight itll chamge the imbalance of chemicals in my body... does that make any sense??
