Starting zolft

I starting zolft for anxiety and dr said to start with 12.5 mg for one week than increase to 25mg the second week, than 37.5 mg the third week than 50mg. My concern is side effects. Will I have side effect the first week on such a low dose. I'm so scared to take zolft but I want my life back.

Zoloft is a great drug, everyone reacts different to each drug and it's doses. 12.5 is a very very low dose, I know I have a much easier time with side effects if I take it slow and start on the weak side.. Just stay positive and tell yourself you can do this... Did they give xanex to help you get through the first couple months or so?
