Another poster had this exact same problem. Did your old doctor perscribe Xanax for you on a regular basis? If so, one of our regular posters had a solution. Have your old doctor call in a script to a Wallgreens in your previous state. Then go to one in your new state and have the pharmacist transfer it. Hopefully this will allow you enough time to find a doctor who will perscribe it for you. You might also have your old doctor write a note stating that he did perscribe Xanax for you. Might help with the new doc. If you can't find one who will, consider switching over to Klonopin or let your old doc know that you need to taper off the Xanax!
Please don't buy them off the Net. You have no idea what you're actually getting!
Good luck

Need to find docter in maryland who perscribes xanax i just moved and the docters i go to wont so i half to buy of my friends if u no docter in maryland email me ***@**** thanks
Just to make sure I have this right, you took the Effexor and the Xanax for a TOTAL of only one month?
In your post, you don't state that you are experiencing any sort of physical or mental "problems" since quitting either of these drugs. That's great. After such a short time, you shouldn't. So........since you are apparently feeling just fine, why are you concerned now?
I'm just really curious.

If you are doing O.K., don't think you will have a problem. Seems like you were on it very short term.
You don't say WHEN you stopped taking these meds, but if there is no problem so far then there's probably not going to be one.
