Switch from celexa to lexapro

My dr switched me from celexa to lexapro 10 mg  in the last 7 days... Since yesterday I have felt so sleepy to the point I can't hold my eyes open barely , agitated , and drunk feeling ? I am feint more depressed and just blah :( did anyone else have this and what did you do?!

I wasn't referring to you but to the poster, who didn't say why the switch.  I too was switched from Lexapro to Celexa because they do act differently in individuals.  My only thought was for the person posting was, if the celexa was working why the switch?

That is what I thought too, but the pharmacy said they can act different in the brain, I was so dog tired on lexapro and blah and have none of those feeling now!! Hopefully it stays that way...

Question:  Since Lexapro is basically just a more expensive new version of Celexa, why the change?

Oh I feel for you,, I was on lexapro and felt the same way, could not stand it. Went off it and started effexor xr but did not help now on celexa and doing great, feel so different on celexa then I did on lexapro. The lexapro just made me blah and very very tired..
