Tackled anxiety and beat it with a rather large stick!

Just thought I would bring something positive to the forum here.  I just want to thank everyone who has helped me out or gave me advice on here, I couldn't have done it without it.   I am now 99.9% anxiety and panic free.  I haven't checked my heart rate in almost a week.  Which is a big feat for me as most of you know.  I'm going to continue this course of treatment because it does work.  I have been getting out of the house, gone on a few dates.  Even got lucky one night (which i think snapped me out of all this more than anything!! lol)  but I am going to continue and post here and update my situation, because who knows it could come back tomorrow, but I don't think it will.   I think i have beaten it this time.

Congratulations, I'm glad you're feeling better and I hate to "burst your bubble" but many mental disorders tend to be chronic, which means we need to deal with them the rest of our lives.

If it's different for you, that's great, but once you've experienced severe symptoms of anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD, etc., it's often difficult to completely eliminate them and be "normal".

Again, not trying to step on your positive attitude, I think it's great, but I tend to live in a world of reality that I've come to know through experience.
