Avitan can someone help me with this medication!!



I have been on web md for a month now ...i stared out posting things about my heart i was in the er 4 times ive had echos ekgs and and 24 hour holters i have 1 more test wed nu clear stress to make sure im good!My er pcp gave me ativan because he said it was anxiety..i must admit before taking ativan i couldnt leave the house and felt like i was going to die every sec ...ive taken about 6 pills out of the 15 that where perscribed....and i must admit they have made me feel better when i take them...i have one more scary week this week and the boggest test yet the nuclear stress i get the results friday and thwe wait is unbearable..but they have helped me have some sort of normal life so far...can someone that has used this let me know if its hard to get of this and is it wrong to take one everyday just to forget about the the stress of thinking im gonna have a heart attack and this stress test ..please let me know!!

I have never used it but can tell you that it is a fact acting form of medication that should be used for only a few weeks. Let's just say it loses tolerance and the dose has to be upped to get the same effect after a period of time on it. If your anxiety is bad and regular you should maybe ask about klonopin. Longer acting form of medication. Tolerance wise. One is simply used to help you there and then. The other is used over a full day. But both are benzos and are just as hard to come off of if you ever have to. That is done slowly. Very slowly. I am sure others might give you more answers.
