I think our answers combined are pretty dang good! Should we write a book together, Pax? We could call it "Fric and Frac Have a Panic Attack."
OK, that's bad, it was just my first idea.............sheesh!

Hey, somehow I missed greenlydia's response. It's better than mine!
Quitting cold turkey can be a problem full of surprises. This is a new one, but my guess is, once you're done with your body adjusting to being off the med you'll probably lose the weight -- usually weight is gained being on these meds, but withdrawal is like a short period of intense medication weirdness.
You should not discontinue Zoloft suddenly after long term use, but I'm not entirely sure if 4 months is considered "long term" with this medication. You were also on the lowest dose available. I would, though, give your doctor a call and let him/her know that you've quit and how you're feeling. Since it appears you have been feeling "bloated and sloppy" since you quit 3 weeks ago, this would be even more incentive to call your doctor.
One of the many good benefits of Zoloft, but one that requires a weekly weight check, is that it decreases the appetite. While the potential could be there for "emotional" eating after going off Zoloft, I think it's also very likely that you've just gotten your appetite back.
Peace

I've never heard of this happening. Pay attention to what you are eating, since you are off medication you may be doing some emotional eating and not realizing it.
