Thanks for the feedback. Yes, pdoc does refer to a shrink. I am so sorry for the loss of your son. And only in March. Being 12 years into it is hard. I did okay after it happened as I was very involved with the case and even supplied the lead that broke the case. I am also involved with an organization that helps others who have gone through this nightmare. My therapist feels that I am finally dealing with it. As for the meds, I hate that I am on so many. It really bothers me. I have dealt with depression several times in my life, since I was 9. But never had to take more than 2 meds. I am going to increase the seraquel back to the regular dose until I can see him. I spoke with him on the phone and he said he has some "options". I sure hope so as everytime I post my meds on here, someone speaks about what a combination I am on. I amgoing off of the deplin as it doesnt seem to be working and costs an arm and a leg, even with insurance.
Hey there,
Agree with MMahon that the renewed anxiety could be caused by reduction in medication.
I'm not familiar with the one you mentioned, but have taken clonazapam for years with good results. Very glad you decided to take the Ativan for sleep. The goal for all of us who have anxiety/depression is to function. Meds are the base. I suspect you are seeing a psychiatrist. Have noticed pdoc is abbreviation for shrink in other posts. It is great to have a history with one who listens and helps sort out med problems when they arise.
You have a therapist too. That is excellent. What I am going to suggest is that you may be experiencing low energy because of an anniversary or thoughts of your son.
One of my sons was murdered by his father, my former husband, in March. His oldest brother was with him and lives on with awful memories as well as three bullet wounds. I know that every Saturday I have either a very low energy day or a physical problem.
Finally realized it is the anniversary effect (my term). I really didn't expect it. Knew mother's day might be a trial: it was, but I just have to hold it together for the family. They let me have my quiet time. I have seen a therapist a couple of time, and it helped.
Only share this as I do know how it feels to go through the murder of a child. We can't ever be prepared for an event as horrific as this. On the other hand, we have to move on.
Post when you feel like it. We are here 24/7.
You should discuss your symptoms with your doctor. Perhaps cutting your dose in half was too much at one time. Perhaps just a 25mg reduction for a few weeks would be better for you and give you more time to adjust.
You are on quite a combination of medications. When you say pdoc what does that mean?
Is it primary care doctor? Hopefully a psychiatrist is monitoring the medications you take
and if not it might be wise to consult one at this time.
