Will i react to Zoloft the same as i did before?

I was on Zoloft 3 years ago for anxiety and panic.  I did not notice any side effects (sexual, physical, emotional), I would dirnk alcohol ans everything seemed fine.  I was on Zoloft for 2 years and it worked for me.  I stopped about three years ago and i was fine until recently (anxiety, heart skipping beats, fatigue, etc.) as the stress in my life has picked up.

My question is doe anyone have any experience with going on/off Zoloft and were the side effects (or hopefully lack thereof) the same?

I actually had a similar situation. I took Zoloft for three or more years, and had little to no side effects from it.I stopped for about a year because life seemed to have settled down. I started taking it again last year and had to go off of it about a week ago because the side effects were unbearable. I had the weight gain, loss of sexual interest, increased panic attacks and increased depression.

We are all different so it is hard to say if you will have any problems. Best thing you can do is give it a try if you think it will help . Give it about a month if you notice side effects that are unbearable SLOWLY stop taking it under the supervision of your doctor. I recently stopped taking it cold turkey[my doctors stupid advice] and had some of the worst withdrawal symptoms ever for 2 weeks.

Good luck. Keep an open mind though, you might find relief again in it :)

I've never been on Zoloft... but I can tell you, I go on and off Lexapro about once a year or so... and It hasnt lost its affect on me, nor has it changed effects on me.

So I'm sure you'll react to the Zoloft the same way. =)

Good luck to you.
