anxiety no health anxiety

ive found out im not suffering from gad ive got health related anxiety so they say anyone else suffer from this thats why i cant except anxiety because its only to do with my health my god its a nightmare anyone shed some light on this confusing myself im basically a hyperchondriac i cant get adoc or a/e doc to even look at me nomore

Had a doc send me home once and tell me it was nothing. That night I was rushed to hospital with kidney stones. Sad to say you get tagged by some doctors. In Ireland at least. He was an idiot anyway. Got done for having an offshore bank account. That made me feel better. LOL.

yeah im in the health anxiety club too, and although its hard to get a doc to look at you with the health anxiety related issues i do have to disagree with mr green cause if you was to go with a serious illness and the doc dismissed you it would be worth their job (sorry mr green) you will learn eventually which illnesses are anxiety related and which are true (although i know everyone feels true its hard to tell the difference) i hope you feel better soon x

I think they are telling you that your anxiety is based around feelings of been ill. That you only get anxious when you imagine you might have something wrong with you. It is not an uncommon form of anxiety. I would say a popular form if you read this forum. The topics on hiv, brain tumours, heart attacks and the likes. All health anxiety. So a very common form indeed. Downside? Once they have said you have this every illness will be placed as anxiety. That's a tag I think comes with such anxiety. Wrongly so. Because a person could be seriously ill and their doctor is saying ' oh, them again, just anxiety as ever '. But keep your head up. This does not mean you can't beat the anxiety. It is like all forms of anxiety. You can smash it back to where it came from.
