anxiety seems to be coming back

I have had alot of anxiety especially heallth anxiety for the past six months. I am on 25mg of zoloft for 3 months and .5 xanax for sleeping. For awhile I had been feeling pretty good but now I am starting to feel alittle depressed and anxious again. I feel like I just go about my day but without the joy and happiness I think I should feel about life. I also have developed muscle twitches in my legs and arms and eyes. So of course I am worried about them too. My cholesterol came back high and I don;t like to take statins so yes I am worried about this too. I just feel like I don't like being me!!Does anyone have any tips for me that might help get me on track???
Thanks in advance to a great community of friends that can understand what we all are going through!!

I have taken lipitor and crestor in the past and it didn't really agree with me. My cholseterol is 274 with really good hdl 65 and triglycerides of 83. I have to eat low carb as i am a diabetic and am doing well with my blood sugars only on the diet. Is the policosonol somehting over the counter?? Also another question. Can you become addicted to xanax only taking it at night that could cause daytime anxiety?
Thanks for all of your help!!

lipitor is a pretty safe cholesterol lowering drug, you could ask your doctor about that maybe. it's important to get your cholesterol down to at least the low 200's or lower. it's bad on your heart and atreries. i can't take my prozac all the time because it causes me to have awful debilating anxiety if i take it all the time. i can only take it when i'm going through bad depression. i'm asking my psychiatrist to change me to cymbalta since i have chronic pain in my joints and back and it helps with pain, but he hasn't called me back yet so i'm still waiting. you may need a different antidepressant or a lower dose or something. you may need more xanax but you have to deal with your doctor about all this though. how high is your cholesterol? good luck velvetvenus

My daughter suffers a lot of anxiety too for apparently no reason.  I am just going to make a suggestion, take it or leave it.  For twitches, I would either try potassium, or if you have had any blood work done, check your potassium levels.  For myself, if I get a twitch say in my eye or lip or something like that, I take a 99mg potassium capsule and it takes it away immediately.  And for cholesterol, my daughter takes 10mg. of Policosonol which is made from sugar cane, but will not raise your blood sugar level.  If it is really high you can take the Policosonol along with 500mg of non flush (but not time released) niacin.
I am not a Dr.  I only deal with natural medicine.  If you try it I hope it helps.  God Bless
