anxiety symptom help

I'm dealing with some insomnia right now mainly because everytime I try to lay down my jaw gets real tight and weird feeling, I get nauseous with no real stomachache just mild cramps, and an off and on ringing in my ear. Do these sound like normal anxiety symptoms? I haven't taken my xanax but I guess I should at this point.

Well that's awesome that you were able to fall asleep on your own. See that's a step towards the right direction. We should all look at those little positive things in our day and remember that there is hope for better things to come. I like what you said, " i was very excited this morning when i woke up." See you will have more things to be excited about in the near future I just know it.

i take regular xanax to only be used for emergencies. i try hard not to take it when im at home because i have quiet time at home that i can do my deep breathing or watch tv or read a book to help get my mind off of it. i actually fell asleep on my own last night without the aid of xanax or an otc sleep med. i was very excited this morning when i woke up as my insomnia has been pretty bad.

Well that sounds typical for me when I'm having a bad case of anxiety or panic. I would wake up with my jaw so tight that my teeth would start to hurt. I had to sleep with a mouthguard in order to kinda sleep better although it took some time to get used to. Also I would even find myself bitting down on my tongue to the point that it would start to hurt. Also as for the ringing I too had that. When I went to the ER last time they told me that anxiety symptoms can change from time to time. One day you get be shaking and be tense and the next day you could having nauseousness and hot flashes.

On a side note I was prescribed regular Xanax at the ER for when I went for my first panic attack and I was instructed to take it only for emergencies. Later on my general doctor gave me Xanax ER (also called Xanax XR) for daily use. I was just curious which type of Xanax do you take?
