anxiety treatment

I think regulars on here would be aware of my risk. just been to my first therapy appointment. is it normal for the therapist to ask you your trigger factors? she also said my situation was no risk and its common for anxiety sufferers to be suspicious of everyday things etc. i also told her when i check my handphone on trains or public spaces i get this annoying feeling the guy next to me is watching what i read or type on my phone. she said its normal for anxiety sufferers to feel that they are being watched and get paranoia. anyone had similar assessment as me? she also told me its not going to go away overnight (which i understand because its like 3 days past the appointment). she told me i can withdraw myself from being intimate with the opposite sex but i may  suffer from social implications later on.

Personally I don't thing there is anything wrong with being aware of someone watching what you are doing on your phone in a crowded public place. There always seem to be some nosy people who try to see what everyone is doing. That is why I refrain from using my phone in public unless I have to. In my experience though, as far as withdrawing from social situations, I think it makes it harder to get back into it after awhile. Continually putting yourself into social situations will eventually make you used to it, as long as you don't put yourself in extremely difficult situations, like huge crowds. The more you socialize, the more natural it becomes and the easier it gets.
