That sounds good. Have you seen an ENT? If not, I would ask for a referral to one also, while you're waiting for the neuro and mri. You're definitely on the right track, trying to rule out a physical cause.
Best to you...let us know what you find out okay?
I have an appt for neuro I don't know if they will give me a MRI I'm jus gonna have to wait and see thanx for the post nursegirl
Hello and welcome!
First, let me say thank you for your service. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you and every man and woman who sacrifices so much for us. You're ALL heroes in my book!
I'm so sorry you're going through this, it sounds awful. It sounds like you've had some pretty thorough work-ups to rule out anything big and bad (like a stroke, etc). Have you seen a Neurologist and an ENT? I would definitely recommend both of those if you haven't seen them already. You almost describe the symptoms of a sinus infection, which is why I think seeing an ENT would be logical. You may need more thorough imaging beyond just a CT...like an MRI/MRA for starters. Has any doc recommended that?
It's possible that you're experiencing side effects of the Mirtazapine as well. How long have you been on it, and at what dose? Read the info on side effects here. That's certainly a possibility.

I would also say that you COULD be having symptoms related to your conditions (ie psychosomatic symptoms)...but your symptoms really do sound more physical in nature in my opinion. Sinus infection or something related is what stood out to me the most.
VERY best to you. I sincerely hope you can find some answers. If you still cannot pin down a physical cause after seeing the specialists, and having more thorough diagnostic testing done, I would recommend going at it from the medication standpoint and discussing trying something else with your doc.
So...ENT, Neurologist (asking both for more testing), medication. That's my advice to you on how to approach this, hon.
Please update us okay? We're here for you!
Yes mirtazpine for about a month, ssris do not mix well with me ....
It's not only you suffering from depression, anxiety and panic. There are so many people having the same problem. I'm on xanax and moclobemide for this problem. I had experienced your symptoms like slurred speech, woken up during sleep. Check again with the doc and get the right meds. Good luck!
Are you on any medications for your depression and anxiety? Some of them, such as Lexapro, can cause this feeling.
