Thank you so much for the encouraging words. It is nice to know that I am not alone. But in the midst of the worst panic/anxiety that I feel it is hard to believe anyone else could feel this way and live because it is so awful!!
5 years ago I had a very severe bout of panic and anxiety so bad that I could not leave the house or function. But every day I would force myself to get up and go outside. I refused to let my anxiety and panic attacks keep me from living my life. During that time I even managed to finish my education. A month ago it has started again but now I am getting very bad intrusive thoughts to the point where I’m too scared to move but once again every day I force myself to do things. If I had a job it would be better for me and it might be better for you. If you feel like you can’t work five days a week try and find volunteer work 1 or 2 days out the week. Because believe it or not this will keep your mind occupied and focused on something else. I know how hard it is I’m going through the same thing myself. Just take your time and recover you will be just fine just believe in yourself and capabilities as a person.
well before I started taking paxil20mg i had lost 30 lbs over 7 months due to the high stress/worry and I can't afford to lose more. I am not even able to work right now because the depression and anxiety is so bad. Anyone else have this so bad that they can't work?
Hey Im taking Citolopram and I started losing weight as well I was 118 now im 112 and that happened in a week’s time. Something that can help you to maintain your weight is ensure plus or protein shake. But the ensure plus will help you keep your weight just make sure to have it with some bread if your tummy is sensitive .
Yes, I lost a lot of weight due to depression and anxiety. But I did put it back on and even extra I did'nt want!
It takes awhile for an antidepressant to get into your system and start working. I take it that you just recently started Paxil? Give it at least 4 weeks, maybe even 6 weeks for it to start working.
Paxil is one of the antidepressants that can cause weight gain and maybe that's why your Dr put you on it. I hope it works for you. Take care. Remar
