Hormone replacement was done all the time in previous decades and it is now much less popular. Some have been associated with an increase risk of breast cancer for example. None of my friends will do this type of therapy (we are all of that age) because of this. You are pretty young for menopause, hon. When I said talk to your doctor, I was guessing that being on the therapy was involved in the increased anxiety. :>) Not that you needed to be on hormones. I think you need to treat your anxiety AS anxiety. Whatever that means you and your doctor. This can include talk therapy and/or medication and the things known to help cope with anxiety such as increased exercise, meditation, yoga, deep breathing, journaling, etc. good luck
Yes, talk to your doctor about the hormonal replacement therapy you are on. Hormones definitely can affect us emotionally and your increased anxiety may be connected.
These cysts are not uncommon. 2 out of 10 women get one and only rarely does it have anything to do with an std. And you've been checked for std's recently. So, being anxious just about the cyst is not necessary. I do understand though that it is not pleasant. And I understand when anxiety makes our health issues seem bigger than they are. So, see your doctor for the cyst and then after, talk to the doctor about anxiety symptoms and that it may be time to treat that as a disorder. good luck
Did you suffer from paralyzing anxiety before you started getting these medical possibilities, or did it only start with this current scare? If it was always there and this has made it worse, you have a chronic anxiety problem and a good start would be to find a psychologist who specializes in anxiety treatment and see if you can't learn some relaxation techniques and begin a process of trying to retrain your way of thinking about things.
