well we arent doctors here, but rather people who have been down the 'medication' route for anxiety... so all I can say is if YOU feel like its probably physical and not mental... then theres a real good chance your right. Anxiety can have alot of physical symptoms,, but alot of times its used as a diagnosis when a doctor cant figure out exactly WHAT is wrong with their patient. Id seek a second opinion if you feel he is wrong because it could make a huge difference in your future.
Hi,
Four years ago i was in the same position as you. I started having severe dizzy spells, they would last anywhere between 5 to 30 seconds. I was under the E.N.T department for 4 years and had various tests such as C.A.T scan, MRI scan, balance test and was on various meds for Miniere's taling sercs like yourself. After all this time i was sure they were missing something (what was the problem?) i kept asking myself and the specialist. I went to see a Neurologist to see if there was a problem with my nerves, eventually this was starting to get all a bit to much. Then oneday i woke up and went to work just like any otherday and noticed that i was constantly thinking about my breathing and starting to slightly hyperventilate, since then i have never had another dizzy spell but am suffering from anxiety often.
Hope this information is useful.
