if i had it to do again i wld never have started cymbalta- it taught me a very $$$$ lesson - ALWAYS ASK HOW MUCH IT WILL COST! Especially wth no health insurance and no generic form at the time. cymbalta is not a drug you (or at least myself) can just stop without some bad joo joo happening . im glad they have generic now-feel no pity for The Company who is now hurting because their patent ran out. before you start this drug or any, talk to your pharmacist to find out info on it. alot of times they have more info than doctors do. i know as far as i am concerned, i forget that therr is tons of info online as well & i cld have prevented some of this cymbalta nitemare!
Omg cymbalta has not did anything to my mind I dont feel anything at all ....no ups or downs ...I here it helps depressed people etc....guess I am not stressed or depressed yet....but pain from Fm *****....so Cymbalta has help about 70% in body places for 2 months now....so as of 3 days ago developed pain in my right knee bigtime...my Cymbalta is not helping....go figure.
dude im noooo doctor but my experience with cymbalta were both positive and negative... the first time i took the medicine i was in EXTREME clinical depression,,, i didnt see any way out except the great big OUT.. if you catch my drift ... however cymbalta was nearly key in bringing me out of that mind set wow i was amazed and actually got healthier...and was able to stop alll medications for a long time... however recently i was experiencing some depresion and it was mild but it had seemed to linger for weeks.. so i started takin the medcine again and didnt anywhere near the same results as laST TIME... GUESS I WASNT AS SICK . BUT IVE CONSULTED MY DOC AND STARTED A NEW TRIAL ON SOMETHING ELSE .... stay in contact with your doc about everything you experien e and go over it with them.. they dont know a magic pill that fixes everything but what they do have is an educatio9n that proves they have the patience to help you if you let them and that means tradeing informtion and being responsible...
I forgot to mention after awhile the pain in my neck came back even though I was on it at 60mgs a day. So the reason I went on was one of the reasons I went or am trying to go off.. Go to youtube.com and see what their saying about cymbalta .. Diana is her name and she has a very good video blog about cymbalta hell.. Thank you
I was on it for almost a year and went off cold turkey without dr's advice.. went back on with dr's advice and used his "taper" off method and I was (AM) in so much misery. I have brain zaps and a overall feeling of whoosing like nausa and I hear a clicking sound inside my head.. No I'm not crazy just been on Cymbalta.. Please google cymbalta withdrawal and see what you can find.. interesting reading on cymbalta sucks if you use that in google as well..
I'm down to half my dose and still unable to get off 48 hours without feeling VERY sick..
I started taking if because of neck pain and it was great for about 3 or so months but I realized I didn't feel sad OR happy.. so I decided to go off of it a few months later.. now I'm going into 2 months tapering off and I'm miserable.. PLEASE read up on google.com about it.. I am not the only one suffering.
i have been taking zoloft for panic attacks. 200mg per day for the past 2 years. i ran out out of it about a week ago, and just started feeling strange today. i had 60mg of cymbalta on hand, and took this until i get my zoloft prescrp filled. a little worried about how it will make me feel. has anyone taken zoloft and then switched to cymbalta?
I've been taking Cymbalta now for about 2 years and have had no problems. I take it every night before bed. I only take 60mg but have heard some people take up to 180mg per day. Rarely do I take two and it's only if I've had a real stressful day. But I also take Klonopin for my anxiety - 4 times a day.
Have no fears. Cymbalta works....better than most.
I'm pretty sure that is what my grandmother is on for her panic and anxiety attacks. She's been all over the place with her meds because a lot of it hasn't worked for her. But she's been on it for a little while now and it's working for her. The only side effects I have personally heard of are dry mouth, fatigue, sleepiness, sweating and nausea.
I hope this helps at all.
