I had a brain scan 18 mths ago. Is that the same thing. Really it is over before you know it. It will be fine I'm sure.

Stay strong...

I had one today.  It was such a piece of cake.  It looks like a big donut and about the same thickness and you just lay down and go in and out of it.  It wasn't anything like a tunnel.  More like literally... a standing donut.  It was over in about 4 minutes.  Don't be afraid.

Do you feel short term relief when you take the Xanax?  It is not a long lasting benzo, but it does work quite well in the short term in my opinion.  Did the doctor tell you to take it just before your CT Scan?  You can try breathing exercises and visualization techniques, but I know claustrophobia can really cause a lot of anxiety, but you can take comfort in the fact that they are pretty quick and the are 100% painless....just a super x-ray....keep us posted!
