Lexapro 10mg Question

I just took my first dose of Lexapro 10mg about an hour and a half ago, can it make you feel more anxious at first? I'm feeling more anxious than I did before taking it. But I faith the anxiousness will leave.

I've taken it before, but its been a couple years.

That's what my doc.wants me to take to 10mg.So i also hope all goes well.I also take 1mg of adavan.The adavan really helps.If that was the only thing i had to take that would be great.So we are in this togeather LOL!! I'm just as nervous as u are.S0 keep me posted and i will do the same.Sorry im not much help.Im starting mine tomarrow.

with lexapro, it makes me yawn a lot then i feel like gagging at the end of those long big yawns lol. so strange.

there has been moments tonight of me feeling really care free, but maybe it was the ativan helping me feel chill/relaxed. I'm trying to be optimistic that it's the Lexapro already starting to do it's thing.

I'm curious if tomorrow when I take the 10mg of Lexapro again if it will make my anxiety Sky Rocket again like today?

How long did it make you feel more anxious?

this is very common when starting ssri"s> it happened to me when istarted lexapro 3 weeks ago. I started at 5mg for a week then 10 mg the second week now 15 mg the 3rd week. give it sometime the anxiety should subside when your body gets used to it. If it doesnt subside in a week def tell your doc! I take .05 klonopin one in the morn one at night to cut the edge!

After taking a couple of ativan, I have calmed down a lot. Im actually fixing to put in a movie, make some popcorn with my 3 year old, and enjoy the evening with my wife and kiddos! (even though my appetite is still shot, im not worried about it, it will come back)

Thank you Lexapro for making my anxiety SKY ROCKET from HELL. lol. You've taken my mind off my throat now and just made me think about my anxiety sensations ... hahaha. Maybe you've already done your job. lol.

My stomach isnt upset, but when I talk I feel sometimes that I could gag and vomit my nerves are so bad. Is this the Lexapro? It just seems as if my anxiety has sky rocketed after taking it for the 1st time today 10mg. Will this feeling go away? I just took another ativan. (2)

My anxiety is SO freakin bad right now. I just can't seem to calm down. I have SO MUCH NERVOUS ENERGY, my stomach is tight, my palms are so sweaty, I HAVE NO APPETITE what so ever! Feel like I could throw up sometimes. Hope this Lexapro helps!!!

I just took an ativan .5mg. It will probably calm me down a tad, but I'm kind of tolerant now to just 1 pill.

Current symptoms I'm having right now...

Nervous stomach, sweaty palms, feeling spacy, kinda panicky, pacy, heart palpitations, and concentration issues.

Please tell me the Lexapro is going to help me.
