hi

hi i am a 28 yr old male that was diagnosed with gerd, ulcerative colitis, and just yesterday the left side of my face went paralyzed i went to the ER and they said it was bells palsy and i am waiting for results to see if it was from lyme disease. I was curious if this stuff could be stressed related due to the huge amount of stress that I have gotten in the last couple years. All stressors were life changing also.

Stress and anxiety aren't the same thing.  Stress has an actual cause, whereas chronic anxiety is a pretty ridiculous illness that often has no discernible cause.  Stress can, however, definitely cause your digestive problems, but so can diet, hidden infections, and other things.  I'm with mammo, this doesn't sound like anxiety as much as stress over something real, but that doesn't mean learning some relaxation techniques and taking some simple natural remedies won't possibly help the digestive stuff calm down even though you have some real other medical problems.

I doubt that it's anxiety, Bells Palsy is pretty easy to diagnose and I'd rather have that than the anxiety!  Take care.
