i been in thrapy for about like 1 1/2 minths & i think its not working because im kinda getting better its just when i tell her i keep having symptoms of anxiety when im not anxious & she says relax & i am relaxed. & they diagnosed me w. it like 2 months ago
Hon, you've started many threads about different anxiety related symptoms and issues you've had, and you keep asking "is this anxiety?" I know it gives you reassurance when we answer, "It sounds like anxiety", however, these are all issues you need to be discussing with your doctor and therapist.
You said you are in therapy but it isn't working? Why do you feel that way? How long have you been in therapy and how often do you go? Sometimes, it takes a few changes to find the right therapist. Sometimes you just need to give it more time, it can be a long process.
You said your doctor Dx'd you with panic disorder. When was that? Is he/she a psychiatrist? You've received a diagnosis, therefore you know you struggle with an anxiety disorder. You need to communicate these things with your doctor, and your therapist. They may want to make changes in your treatment plan.
If this is all new to you, you have to try to be patient, as hard as that is. Anxiety just doesn't go away overnight (as much as we'd like it to!).
Hang in there, and please give your therapist or doctor a call, let them know what's going on. As for the breathing symptoms, you've been down this road before, I know it feels scary, but most likely, this is just another symptom of anxiety, and it too shall pass.
