my panic

Hi I'm kinda new to this. I started having panic attacks about 6 months ago, it started at work when i felt like i was gonna faint like my head was heavy a bit off balance. I went to the ER and they did a ct scan, they said it was negative. give me an iv and discherged me with a head ache of some type or another. Well I worked in the heat a bit so i figured heat exhustion may have triggered it, so i stayed home for awhile had dizzy spells and some panic attacks. So after awhile of not feeling much better i wanted a second opinion so i found a family doctor. he first diagnosed me with viral labrynthitis. a viral infection that throws off the balance in your inner ear. said it could take 6 to 8 weeks for it to heal. so i sat around felt spacy most of the time, had dizzy spells, felt pressure in my ears like air, pressure in my temples and sinuses and had panic attacks where i felt like i couldnt breath and my lungs or something were gonna stop working, my eyes were sensative to light. So about a few weeks have gone by i wanted to see an ENT to get some more tests done. They found nothing. Well its been about 6 months now and i do feel better than I did most of the time, but i have these attacks where i felt good and then something triggers it where i get pressure in my head usually my temples, and my ears, dullness in the back of my head, feel like i cant speak, and it gets kinda unbearable like im gonna go crazy or go into convulsions or something its very scary to me. I cant lay down or anything i have to move and i usually call somebody cause i

I experienced viral labrinthitis that lasted about 8 weeks a year ago. I couldn't even drive my car due to how much it messed with my vision and balance. I felt like someone drugged me or that I was drunk all the time. After numerous trips to the eye doctor, and my physician I finally decided to listen to my doctor and take the Meclizine he prescribed me. The meclizine does not fix the issue, but rather helps mask some of the symptoms until it goes away. Meclizine can be bought over the counter as it is a motion sickness medicine. I experienced anxiety during this time because I could not believe that an ear infection could impart the symptoms I was experiencing. Pretty crazy, but the Anxiety I started experiencing at that time never really left me. I now constantly over analyze every little thing that occurs with my body that doesn't feel right. I do a self diagnosis via the internet for everything and probably go to the doctor way too much. My advice although I am not great at practicing it is to listen to your doctor as he is a trained professional and if you disagree get a second opinion. It will help to get your mind in the right place. That's what I am in the process of doing right now and it seems to be helping.

Hi,
Well I have been have pains in my ears too and my neck, I do take lorazapam .5mg and it does calm to an extent, but it makes me feel dazed and the doc said its normal. I have been suffering with panic attacks, aniexty and I feel nervous and paranoia everyday since last month. So today I went to a phystrist and he gave me paxil 10mg.Maybe you should go talk to someone, because when you have a chemical imbalance it needs to be treated or your gonna keep having episodes. I know the feeling of loosing your mind cause I get it alot and then you start to panic, but don't worry its all normal and you are not going crazy and your not alone. I can't wait to feel myself again, I hope this medicine works the doc said I will feel like a new person. If you don't want to try meds then try just talking to a counslor. Well good luck and don't worry.

wow. this is strange because I have been having almost the exact symptoms, except my Dr thought it was vertigo, and prescribed me Ativan 2mg when I feel like Im about to lose my mind I'm supposed to put one under my tongue, but it doesnt seem to help... I looked up 2mg Ativan and it seems as if they dont make Ativan in a stronger dose... so I'm not sure what to do..... just the other day I was at work, and I was about to lose it so I went into my office, turned off the light, and sat on the floor... a few minutes later my boss opened the door and looked at me with a perplexed look on his face, and today when I came into work he told me never to do that again.... and I dont know what to do. I'm in the same boat as you my friend, at least I think I am.
