nausea. WORRIED

pretty much everynight at 7 or 8 i feel nauseous.
i dont know why!
could this be because, first of all. i dont eat properly.. ill eat like a bagel and thats it.
and i dont sleep properly. i go to bed at like 4 or 5am and then wake up at 5 or 6 and then i take my cipralex with my multivitamin (sometimes, ill take them at 3, or 4, or 5 i never take them at the same time everyday). i never and then like the next 2 hours and such i feel nauseous. then cuz of that i get anxious, then its gets worse.
i have a huge fear of vomiting and i got the stomach flu back in march andi think that its gunna happen again.
everynight i worry about it.
im scared this nausea is like a tumor or somehting.

Hey, I just recently joined medhelp and look forward to being a supportive community member.

So do you take your cipralex at 3, 4 or 5 pm, or in the morning. I am assuming that it is pm, and then you begin to feel funny a few hrs later, right? I looked into the side affects of cipralex and they include all of your symptoms: difficulty sleeping, nausea and vomiting, anxiety, and decreased apetite! This could very well be causeing or at least influencing your symptoms. You should see your doctor about it.
It could be the cipralex, or it could be your anxiety and fear, or they could very well be playing off of each other like you say. I know that with me, if I am experiencing a sympom, it will get worse if I worry about it, then the symptom gets worse and I worry more.. a vicious cycle!
But your concerns don't alarm me as being very serious. You can certainly get better!!
About your apetite.. do you choose to not eat substantially or is your lack of apetite possibly a side effect of your meds? This is important. It's all about understanding what's going on, and once you know what's going on you can make the right initiative in getting better.
Do you remember the blog on this anxiety forum-- it was recently responded to by me and others so it is on the wall of recent posts. I think you responded to it, maybe over a year ago even. The blog is by I believe her name is nellynell, and it is called "everyone check this out". You should go back and read this blog. You are not alone with linking your sympoms to a serious organic disease such as a tumer. This is common, because our physical sympoms are real, even though it may very well be caused by our own concerning, or our meds!!
So i'm glad to be a supporting friend. I am new to this site and I still have to put up a picture. But I look so forward to being part of the community, as I have experienced a lot of emotional difficulty, and am going through an episode these days.
But with each others insight and support I believe this is a very optimistic community to really rely on. I think that having a good and understanding support system, of friends is the key in feeling well. Anyway, I hope you are feeling well, and I am glad to talk more.

There is much you need to change if you want this nightly nausea to disappear.
First off, you need to drastically change your eating habits! A bagel "and that's it" just doesn't cut it for good nutrition! At 19 years of age, you should know this. There is a great forum here for nutrition and I suggest you begin there. You could also make an appointment with a professional nutritionist and work out a diet plan. There are many excellent books on proper nutrition and many good websites devoted to the subject, but go to only reputable sites!
Sleep............so incredibly essential to good physical/mental and emotional health. We all have our own natural sleep patterns, some of us are day people and some are night owls...........this is called our circadium rhythm and you need to learn what yours is. There is much information out there on how to figure out what your natural rhythm is. But it sounds like your rhythm is pretty helter skelter and is no doubt leading to some of your problems.
Some meds must be taken at very regular intervals and I'm not sure about the cipralex. You would need to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about the timing for this med. Also with some meds it's recommended they be taken with food or some on an empty stomach and some should not be taken within a few hours of other meds and that could include mutltvitamins. Again, your doctor or pharmacist needs to give you that information.
Some people have a phobia about vomiting, I think you've got it.
And now you are fearing a tumor.
Back at the top of this post I said that the first thing you needed to do was get your eating habits under control. I've now changed my mind and recommend you see your doctor for a very thorough check up to rule out an organic reason for all your troubles. I think he/she will have much to say about your lifestyle, but they also need to address your anxiety. It's very possible that by simply learning a healthier lifestyle, your anxiety will disappear, but it still needs to be addressed.
See your doctor. Learn how to live healthy. Get into some therapy if you find yourself struggling.
I don't for one minute think you have a tumor.
Your life is just kind of messy. Clean it up!
Please let us know how you're doing, OK? With a little work, I think you'll soon be feeling much better!
Peace
