Hi
I was on celexa for probably over a year and it was the most effective anti -depressant Ive ever been on particularily concerning anxiety. It almost completley took all of my anxiety away. I dont think I realized how bad my anxiety was until I took celexa and it took all those feelings away. I would still be on it but I have now been diagnosed with bi-polar etc so my doc doesnt want me on it right now. I can also relate to the whole freaking yourself out when you start new meds. I started abilify yesterday and I keep having horrible anxiety and stuff and I cant tell if its from the drug or if its all in my mind. Also about the celexa you will need to give it some time to work (i'm sure your doctor has told you) because my stuff didnt get better until I was up to 80mg a day of it and that took a long time.

I just started Celexa about 5 days ago.  I haven't noticed any dizzy symptoms.  Do you suffer with anxiety and if so could the black out/die feeling be that?  I know I freak myself out alot when I start new medication and can cause myself to have those types of symptoms.

How long have u been on Celexa? Im on the medication too and I just started it a few days ago. My dr told me to take half for 3-4 days and then start taking them whole. I can't lie though, it has made me feel a little better but at times I still feel kinda dizzy and I have that "Im about to black out/die" feeling. Before being put on the Celexa I was on Ativan for 3 months. That is some really good med but it will help you sleep. I'm trying to get off of it now bc I dont want to become addicted.
