panic attacks

I dont know if I am in the right forum here but sorry it's the first time i wright...

OK... I am 22 years old and I had this feeling of my heart-beat, dizzyness, shortness of breath, confusion i thought i was very sick and/or going to die... One day I felt so scared i went to the first aid... and the told me it's probably from the caffeine becuase i was drinking a lot of coffee... and that it was nothing to worry about.. but the things kept getting worst and i was feeling like i was falling in depression 2-3 hours each day... usually night when I also had trouble sleeping since I was getting all kinds of thoughts and worrying... i had some blood test and i went to an other doctor and all came out fine... Untill one day in class i got these symptoms again and i run away from the class very fast because i thought i thought i was going to vomit any minute... i went home and collapsed... and desided to go to the psychitrist... I was diagnosed with panic attacks... and I was prescriped with Zoloft... 25mg to begin with... and an other pill called "akamon" to help me sleep at night.... he said that its a therapy of 6 months and then I will be just fine but since I was very worried of taking these meds i kept visiting websites and they are all full with people that take them for years and no one that said... "ok i took them for 4-5 months and then I was ok".... so today i went again to the doctor and he uped my dosage to 50mg... but i get continusly the fealing that i was diagnosed wrong because now i dont have those symptoms I just have a worry of what's happening to me... a racing heart beat once in a while... and headaches or feeling my head heavy especially if I exercise a little...

I would appreaciate any answer!!! Sorry for my spelling and/or the way i wright but I am not a native english speaker! thank u so much

Is it possible you don't have the symptoms now because the Zoloft is working?

your in the right area, yes you seem to be having PA, but only you can decide your course of treatment, many many ways, but you need to ask yourself, without the pills, what is my quality of life?? feel free to look at my open journals, I talk about zoloft, my first round with PA zoloft, saved my life, my only regret was that I DID NOT START IT SOONER. but my second round with PA was less severe and zoloft was not doing it for me. acouple things to remember, NEVER EVER COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS IN THIS FORUM OR ANYWHERE ELSE, we all have PA/Anxiety, but have different reasons and different treatments, find whats right for you, allot of WORK<< KEY WORD,, WORK and you can put this behind you. again only you can decide if meds are for you, meds help us clear our heads in order to WORK on our problems, but they are not A CURE!!.. good luck and remember you are in the right forum, with many people here to help and share ideas , good support.. keep us posted.
