when you see your MD tomorrow, talk with him or her about what is going on. they may recommend seeing a psychiatirst. you might want to talk with your psychologist about seeing a psychiatrist for meds.
well i am seeing a psychologist but they can't prescribed meds. i want to see my MD tomorrow.
By doctor due you mean MD or Psychiatirst? If you are not seeing a Psychiatrist you might think about seeing one. They are more knowledgable regarding proper medication for anxiety issues. Regular MDs are hesitant to prescribe certain meds for anxiety.
I started seeing one for my anxiety due to my MD no longer wanting to prescribe my meds, she wanted them monitored by a specialist. Since then I feel more confident in what the doctor says and does.
yeah I phoned the on call doctor at my doctors office tonight. she said for now to take some tylenol or advil pm and it might help to take the edge off.
Good for you to recognize you are in trouble and are seeing a therapist once a week.
He or she needs to know how bad your anxiety is: the panic attacks are certainly off the charts for someone who is taking an antidepressant.
If you have a history of panic attacks you know that the crying and feeling of helplessness and such is quite normal following the assault they represent on your body.
Drinking heavily depresses your central nervous system, exacerbating the feelings you describe. Understand you are just trying to escape the pain, maybe sleep, but again, alcohol does not give one a peaceful night's rest.
Tomorrow is Friday, so do call and ask to be seen asap! Don't sugar coat your dilemma: relief is on the way. Your doctor is the one who can help you.
I would see the doctor. Explain your fears, your symptoms, everything. Let them know.
