Hi there again!

Both neck pain and dizziness can be symptoms of anxiety.  My humble opinion in your case is that the neck pain is primarily from your bone spurs, related to how you explain the pain.  The dizziness is probably related more to the anxiety.  That being said, both symptoms can be exacerbated by the other.  You get neck pain, it makes you anxious, which causes dizziness.  You get dizzy, which causes more anxiety, muscle tension...with a result of more neck pain.  See?  It's just a theory, but that's my guess.

Kalie made some great suggestions.  While I'm not always a huge fan of chiropractic medicine, they have come a long way and help a lot of people.  Massage therapy would also be an EXCELLENT thing to try.  Heating pads on the affected area will help also.  Also, make sure that your bed isn't adding to your neck pain.  Be sure you have a supportive pillow and that your mattress isn't too firm or too soft.

Keep working with your doctor, who can prescribe many different types of therapy for your neck.  Also, work on the anxiety symptoms as well.  I  strongly feel that once you address one problem, the other will improve concurrently.

Best of luck!

Yes, when I have anxiety I muscles cramp up around my neck. Have you ever tried to get a masage or see a chiropracter? Also biofreeze it AWesome..... I use that all the time and it really helps. I see a chiropracter as often as I can you will be a little sore the next day, but if you find a good one, and go often it will help your anxiety. I believe it relaxes the muscles because if they are cramped two much I think it can cut off the serotonin your body produces. Goodluck

Yes I feel exactly the same way you do...all my symptoms while i was able to work had to do with pain in my neck an the back of my head....I have had this for going on 6 years now....I can  not turn my head from side to side without feeling dizzy and light-headed....it feel like it is just tearing my neck or stretching it really bad when I look from side to side....my mri showed I have arthritis but they also said what your dr did that it shouldnt be causing dizziness....I have had so much testing done and because nothing has been found out my anxiety and depression came on me and now I suffer with that without any help....

I wish I knew what to tell you to do because I have been thru this for a while now and no one can seem to find the problem either with me....it is so frustrating....maybe because we are so tensed it is causing this with our necks , I am just not sure...I hurt all the time with mine and have headaches and blurry vision also.....but all is ok with my eyes to according to the exam....so I guess I just have to learn to cope the best I can....its not fun and I feel for you cause I know the feelings you are giong thru.....I hope you can find some help....have you tired a chiropractor? I did but it didnt help any.....the only other thing I can think to do is go to physical therapy and see if they can help....may you could consider that....best of luck to you and I hope you find answers soon...

God Bless,
