stopping alparazolam

I am taking %75 milligram of alparazolam &like to stop it ,how can i do this?

I was able to get off of Paxil with the help of my doctor and weening off.  It took a few months but I have been without it for a few months now and feel good.  Good luck to you.

Just to double check, are you saying that you take .75 mg. daily? If so, you are lucky that that is not a very high dosage and getting off the drug should be fairly quick. I am presently taking .50 mg daily and am planning to cut back to .25 mg since I no longer require the higher dosage.

Please do this under your physicians care. Make him/her aware and let them guide you as to tapering off. This is a drug that you just can't stop suddenly; better to have your doctor aware. Good luck and God bless.

They smartest way to do this is under the guidance of the doctor that prescribed it.  He can give you a tapering-off schedule to make it easy for you.
