You have to make time for therapy if you want to deal with the anxiety.  Instead, you'd rather spend how much time searching the web about HIV, thrush, etc?  You obviously are nowhere near putting this behind you, because you are still asking about thrush, that you've come to a conclusion of after searching the internet about HIV.

YOU have to want the change, no one else can do it for you.

oh and i cant see the doctor about my suposidly thrush cuz its almost never there there is just a few spots that come out like once a month and i think it may be from me drinking too much coffee i dunno

Then it is not thrush.

How long have you been on Effexor?  And what do you mean the therapy didn't work?  How many sessions did you have?

No, thrush doesn't work like that, and again, you would have to have a doctor or dentist diagnose thrush.  My guess is, you don't even have it.

How to get help for anxiety is to ask your doctor for a referral to either a therapist to start therapy sessions to discuss your fears, or to a psychiatrist, for a more thorough evaluation, to rule out or confirm a more chronic condition, like an anxiety disorder.

That's your first step, and I urge you to start that process ASAP, as this anxiety has hung around long enough for you.

I already commented on your thread in the HIV forum.  I now see this fear is related to HIV.  Thrush is not specific to HIV, and when related, occurs late in the disease process (with advanced AIDS).

Again, I'm not going to continue to address questions about thrush, you need to address that with your doctor.

I would be more than happy, however, to help you with your anxiety.

This back and forth with me trying to answer what seem to be anxiety-driven questions will not help you in any way.

You need to see your doctor and rule out if you have thrush.  We cannot obviously figure that out online, and I discourage you from trying to self diagnose, it isn't as easy as it may sound, that's why doctors go to 8-12 years of schooling.

Have you ever sought anxiety treatment?  Let's talk about that, after all, that's the purpose of this forum!

No, it would typically start on the tongue, and yes it can go away and come back, but again, a lot of cases require treatment, and again, you need a doctor to diagnose an actual case of thrush.

Oral thrush needs to be diagnosed by your doctor or dentist, and usually requires treatment with a medication like "Nystatin" which is like a mouthwash to be swished and either swallowed or spit out, depending on how prescribed.  Thrush is usually pretty painful, and causes a thick coating on the toungue, and possibly sores.  It is a yeast infection.

Yes, thrush can get worse if not treated, and one should NEVER try to remove any kind of bump or spot present on the tongue.  You don't know what you're "scraping" off, nor is it necessary to scrape the tongue in any circumstance.  Gentle brushing of the tongue during teeth brushing (and I DO mean a gentle, one or two swipes) is more than enough.

Thrush can be occur for many reasons, one of the most common being antibiotic therapy.

You cannot self diagnose thrush, you need to see a doctor if you suspect it.
