throat tightness/SWALLOW PROBLEMS/Worry/Anxeity

So it started when I had  a panick attack from eating a cookie and couldn't swallow after my throat became really dry. Then I drank water alot and my swallowing mechanisms were fine. I could swallow food but sometimes I would be afraid and be aware of my reflexes and started panicking. This panick cause me loss of appetite.I went to my doctor and did blood test and told me I was fine. My mom who is also a doctor told me its an anxeity. Her friend who is also a doctor told me Im just being paranoid.  I could swallow my saliva fine but when I feel or have an urge to swallow without food saliva or water I couldn't and I need to push my saliva so I can swallow. So is this psycholigical?

Yes,the more I focus, the harder it becomes and it causes my swallowing reflexes to become harder and not work suddenly. I noticed that when I have the feeling to swallow without anything on my mouth, it doesnt work automatically but when I loose it up,it would work. Now I always think about swallowing and its really irritating. But I can swallow my saliva easily when I push it to my throat. And I have not been to counseling yet.

In my experience, anxiety can manifest itself in almost any way imanginable.  I believe that problems swallowing is quite common with anxiety at times....the more you focus in on it the harder it becomes.  In my opinion, you did the right thing by getting it checked out, but now why not focus on your anxiety? Have you been to a counselor about this yet?
