Effexor withdrawl

I have been on Effexor for over 10 years and my doctor has weaned me off as I now am using exercise as my drug of choice. I finished the 37.5 mg 1 week ago and since find myself very dizzy and foggy headed feeling!  This just isn't safe as I am a nurse passing medications and making critical decisions and to be at work like this really *****!
Is there anything I can do to get me through these symptoms? Is there anything OTC that I can take? I really don't like feeling this way and DO NOT want to go back on Effexor!

I'm 32 female and have been on Effexor XR for about 12 yrs. tried coming off so many times or even just lowering doses.....I know how bad it can get. I am currently recovering from a relapse from lowering from 150 to 75, but I've been back up at 150 hoping that it will work again like it always has.
Why are you trying to stop? I can't deal with the withdrawals I'm going to just stay on.
I have read that there has been a lot of success getting off of it. Check in Facebook, I remember finding a support page for getting off Effexor
Goodluck and best wishes

I've read that some people use Benadryl to help with the dizziness and other withdrawal symptoms. Can you give your Dr a call or ask one at the hospital where you work if this is safe for you to take?
