Please help!

Ok so i posted a question a couple days ago about this dizzy feeling ive been having for the past week or so. And now.. well im worried that i am dying. Here are the symptoms ive been having.
-I havent been wanting to spend as much time with my family or friends. And i want to be alone more
-I dont feel like doing alot of thing i used to love doing.
-Ive been having a couple of heat flashes where i would sweat a little bit and then it would go away.
-I sometimes get a tingly, cold feeling in my legs.
-The dizziness of course
-Oh and sometimes i get the feeling that i cant talk. Like there isnt enough air in my chest to talk
And i think that is it. Someone please tell me im not dying! Im only 14 years old! I was diagnosed with General Anxiety and Depression a couple weeks ago. And i have been taking Zoloft for my anxiety and depression. Oh and i just switched from 25 milligrams to 50 the other day. But someone please tell me im not dying. Im worried sick about this and all i feel like doing is crying! Thanks

Hey Sweetie............you are most definitely NOT dying, but you need to let your parents know how scared you are so they can help you. Your symptoms are all very common for anxiety and depression and not a single one of them can harm you in any way.
Please talk to your parents or call the doctor who perscribed these meds for you and ask him/her to give you the reassurance they should have given you before you left their office!
Sometimes when we up our dose, we get a little nutty again, but it doesn't last very long and you sound like an intelligent and strong young person, you'll get through it!
I think it would be really helpful for you to talk to a therapist who deals with young people...........the meds will help with your symptoms, but they won't cure what is causing them. Can you talk to your folks about checking into some therapy or possibly a counselor at school?
These issues are often difficult for adults to deal with alone, at 14 you should have someone you love and trust to lean on.
Write to us anytime you feel alone, OK? We have lots of young people on this forum.
Take care Kristen!
Peace
