Very weird Symptoms

Hi there, i'm a 24 year old female who is experiencing very weird symptoms. I am a non smoker/occasional drinker
and i don't take any medications besides ibuprofen or tylenol.
About 3 years ago i started experiencing these symptoms, it started when my throat was feeling like it was closing up
but i figured it was just anxiety which is something i believe i suffer from as well as depression.
Ever since this throat sensation my body has been out of the loop for quite some time and lately it seems like it's gotten
a lot worse.
The symptoms i'm about to describe happen periodically but some happen more then others starting with my bowel movements
I have constipation or diarrhea i seem to never meet in the middle, when i do experience diarrhea it is very uncontrollable
and very soft, almost clay like. I have pressure in my upper right abdomen below my right breast/ribcage, as well as bloating
in my entire stomach that never goes away.
I get random pulsating pains throughout my body, mostly in my chest area and stomach and below my breasts on both sides, i also get flank pain in my kidney area and liver
area that is really bothersome and recently i've had this pain in my pelvic area as well.
I also have absolutely no energy at times and feel very fatigued, and i could sleep for hours on end.
I also have extremely itchy skin, especially 2 weeks before my menstrual cycle, i get itchy mostly on my knuckle/hand area, palms,
and feet, sometimes my legs, i itch to the point where i get risen white bumps all over, as they spread and i periodically
get rashes too that happen out of nowhere. My menstrual cycle is also really bad, i bleed very heavily for
the first 2 days and then it ends, my cramps are unbearable at times and i do believe that my cycle is irregular.
I also get very bad pain in my joints, mostly in my hands and wrists and periodically my right knee will swell up out of nowhere.
I also have a very hard time breathing at times, as i wheeze if i work out or walk fast and i also get heart palpitations
and night sweats on occasion. My body also feels really hot or really cold.
I agree that my sleep habits are not normal and i could eat a lot better, but i weigh around 150 lbs. and i am 5'5
and i am in fairly good shape but i am constantly having to deal with these symptoms and i feel that it effects my life
on a daily basis. I don't have insurance, and all i want is an opinion as to what these causes of the symptoms could be so your opinion is
greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hi there, I have ALL of your symptoms and also classify them as "very weird". The only one you don't mention that I also have is hair shedding and thinning. I have been suffering for many years and have had so many tests and investigations including seeing a Rheumatologist to check for Lupus as my bewildered GP thought it was Lupus or some sort of autoimmune disorder. I was told negative to Lupus and a few other disorders due to a negative ANA test & within range ESR & CPR levels. He now suspects a Thyroid problem and so do I.

The next step for me is an Endocrinologist to check for autoimmune thyroid disorders. One of my blood tests showed elevated TPO  (thyroid peroxidase antibodies) and this indicates autoimmune thyroid disorder even though my thyroid panel ranges, i.e. TSH, FT3, FT4 are within range limits (FT4 is borderline low tho). The throat symptoms you are experiencing could be a goiter formation as this makes your throat feel like its closing up. Google Thyroid disorders, Hashimotos, Graves disease and check the symptoms, you have a lot of them!

I am seeing this Endocrinologist tomorrow (after a 6 month wait!) and if you would like to know my results dont hesitate to ask. I know exactly what you are going through and it just plain "*****".  Hope this helps, take care & you have found a great website for information. There are so many informed people here who are happy to help, it has been an absolute god send for me.

Most of these symptoms seem very familiar to me. I've been diagnosed with Lupus since 2002 and my symptoms started with server margarines in the back of the head, fatigue, weakness, dizziness and skin discoids. About a year later and up to this day my joints ache/swollen, chest pain, server pelvic pain, night sweats, horrible menstral cramps and the symptoms go on and on. I'm not saying that you do have Lupus, but it won’t be a bad idea to get tested for it as well as other autoimmune diseases. These diseases have many symptoms that may mimic other illness so following up with a physician who is knowledgeable in autoimmune is very important.
