I just wanted to update this. I see from your profile that you have MS. There is a yoga book specifically for people with MS. There are also some free videos about yoga and MS here:

You might also like the MS community here. It's a very special place you might like to come check out for sharing support with other people in a similar situation. Once again, wishing you well...

Have you tried yoga? There are a lot of different kinds of yoga including types for people with disabilities and limited ability to exercise.
I just saw this video this morning about DDP yoga. Check it out...

Arthur Boorman was a disabled veteran of the Gulf War for 15 years, and was told by his doctors that he would never be able to walk on his own, ever again.
He stumbled upon an article about Diamond Dallas Page doing Yoga and decided to give it a try -- he couldn't do traditional, higher impact exercise, so he tried DDP YOGA.

Other effective methods are diet alone, but it takes a tremendous amount of willpower (more than I have I think). The two diets that are more lifestyle changes in my opinion that I think are really good are the paleo diet and the candida diet. Both are similar and very effective for losing weight. If you're interested, just take a look at both and choose the one that sounds better to you.
As a third assist, there are supplements such as african mango and acai berry flushes to help with weight loss, but you should absolutely talk with your doctor before starting something like this, especially if you have a medical condition or are taking other medications. He may also be able to offer you prescription weight loss aids to help you get started.
It's never easy, but always possible. Wishing you well...
