40 and terrified

I am a 40 year old woman who has had a multitude of symptoms over a 27 year period and not one doctor has put them all together. I have had chronic skin rashes and boils scince I was 13 an have had 2 tia's have had 2 spontanious pneumothorax's and been diagnosed with pulmonary cyst's in both lungs have recently had some kidney pain and woke up this morning with a severe muscle spasm in the trapezious muscle on each side of my neck with a rash my neck is swollen as are my hands and have some pressure in my left ear which has caused some bouts of being lightheaded. I currently have lost my ins. and have little options and very little faith in doctors right now. can anyone give me some suggestions?

For right now, I would make sure I was getting the nutrients that help with muscles like calcium, magnesium and potassium.  The common dosagage is 1200 mg. calcium and 600 mg magnesium.  Of coarse bananas are a rich source of potassium as well as potatoes.  The only caution w/ potassium is if you have diabetes (that I am aware of).  I would also consider taking a vit D3 supplement.  I see you are in a northern state where D deficiencies are very common, especially in the winter months.

I would also stress good sleep and don't stress out about things.  (Really it's a choice).  Also, drink lots of good water and lay off the sugar and colas.

These are things you can do while you are waiting for your insurance to kick in.

Reading your post, gosh youve been through the mill.
Have you had your thyroid tested? Also have you had any off your rashes swabbed or seen a dermotologist, with them
Because youre rashes may have something to do with your illness,
Have you been tested for antiphospolipid antibodies with you having 2 TIAs .
Sorry i cant be of more help, but would like to wish you well, and hope you can put an end to your undiagnosed symptoms.

i do take vitamins. I have been tested once for lupus and lime disease. about 10 years ago i was going to be tested again but lost my insurance due to a layoff and don't qualify for state ins. until june(in ind. you have to be without ins. for six months before you qualify for state ins.) I have had testing done for ra but it came back negative. I am just so I am in such a bind and am so tired of being sick is can be overwhelming. my joints hurt everyday sometimes it is hard to just get out of bed I still have a fifteen year old girl to take care of.
