Was put on omeprazole while investigating bronchitis symptoms with final diagnosis from biopsy of Langerhans histiocytosis in 2009. Only on oxygen 24:7 with no complications to date.. Seriously want to get off omeprazole. Will going off impact lung problem now that we it is Langerhans and not bronchitis?
Omeprazole will negatively impact your health full stop. Read the article - "How your antacid drug is making you sick" by Chris Kresser. I highly recommend taking digestive enzyme supplement when stopping acid blockers to help prevent any rebound effects (excess acid when medication is discontinued).
