Help with scleroderma on face and neck

Since I have not yet succeeded in getting a referral to a specialist, I was hoping for some help for the rapidly spreading scleroderma on my face and neck.  Is there anything I can be doing myself to slow things down or at least minimize the thickening with OTC products?  I have plaques on both cheeks, on chin (one side of mouth starting to pull down), my neck, around nose, and on forehead.  I am no beauty, but it is pretty scary to look in the mirror every day and see more changes.  I finally got an authorization for a blood draw for ANA panel and RA and am going in this morning.  I fully expect it to come back positive for scleroderma/CREST, if not also RA.  Still no luck on permission to test for Hashimoto's, but this is a start and may finally convince my doctor that a referral is warranted.  But in the meantime, is there anything I can do myself cosmetically?

Thank you for your help.

(P.S.  I did get some coconut oil which is helping with the dryness.)

Thank you tons, Niko, for your help!!  A lot of new information to look up, but at least that is one thing I can feel somewhat in control of in this out-of-control place I am in lately.  Your input is greatly appreciated!

Hey pjwg.
"Hang in there" or better! It is hard to accept the changes.
I 'll attempt to help.
Extra virgin coconut oil is great! Use it for "oil pulling" as well.
I use it each and every morning for "oil pulling" as this removes toxins and
harmful bacteria from your oral cavity, so they do not get in the body.
Also I use it in place of all cooking oils because they are pro-inflammatory EVCO does not alter in heat. Also it is anti-fungal,anti-viral anti-parasitic
and anti-microbial.
Use transdermal Magnesium Oil treatment. It will make your skin nice and softer as your body is taking in valuable magnesium in a very efficient way. Just look it up online.
Avoid all refined carbs, junk food, sodas, fast food. Go for the freshest
salads, vegetables and some fruit. Get organic if possible.
limit your meat and dairy consumption, use pastured if possible.
Eat fresh mercury-free fish. Follow an alkaline diet. Best, combine with candida type of diet.
Supplement with Vitamin C, omega 3 from small cold water fish, CoQ10 water soluble, D3 emulsified sublingual,
B12 methylocobalamin sublingual, proline, lysine and and Transdermal Glutathione ( glutathione transdermal anhydrous cream 50g  20% Glutathione -reduced- in 40grams of lipoderm anhydrous base, so you have 10grams of glutathione in the cream. See an old fashioned
Pharmacist to make you this). Also use transdermal aloe vera leaf gel.
Purchase highest quality you can afford!
No dept. store or drug store brands.
Drink plenty of spring or filtered water. Not from a plastic bottle.
Hope this will help.
One thing to note. My opinion is that this an immune system disorder caused by an underlying infection. If you need more info after your results
come back post again or pm me directly.
Please keep this info handy to have it easily available if and when you need it.
It could make a difference!
Take care.
Niko
