Not sure what's going on

Hi everyone,

Where to start......It seems that I may have an autoimmune condition in addition to the aneurysm and pituitary tumor. The main symptoms that I have are exhaustion that comes with exertion. My throat and chest become inflammmed when I'm too active. My definition of too active could be having a 2 hour time period of being in service at my church. I literally feel as though I have a cold but don't. Also, my nose is constantly inflammed and has been for about two years now. It can take weeks to recover from minimal activity. I have short term memory loss, shortness of breathe just making my bed (this comes and goes) or walking up a small and I mean small flight of stairs, dizzy spells. I have a lump on my chest right at my sternum that could be connected to my thymus and a lump in my neck.

I'm not looking for a diagnosis, I know we can't do that here. But would love some input to what any of you may think is going on. I do have up coming appts with doctors. An Ent and Neurosurgeon. Is there any other specialist I should consider? Joyce was kind of enough to suggest i come here and see if there was any input...thx Joyce

Thanks Joyce ;-) you are too kind.

@Smilerdeb - thank you so much for responding. Because of the location of the annie, behind my left eye, it cannot be coiled. Its small enough at the moment that the risks of surgery (craniotomy) do not out weight the risk of rupture. I awoke this morning thinking about the pituitary tumor possibly growing and then though about risks down the line of not having the annie dealt with. Things I think about, eh. I'd really like to get back to living as I did prior to all of this.

So glad to hear your friend is doing well. I hear that the coiling procedure cuts recovery time down considerably, sounds like this was her experience.  - just received news of the death of someone in my community to an aneurysm.....very sad.

You make an excellent point about not enough oxygenated blood getting through causing dizziness. Would that be some sort of cholesterol issue or???

I've been dealing with all of this for a little over a year now and have settled down a bit in terms of stress over not having a definitive diagnosis ;-)  Hopefully, I will get some more responses.
Some additional symptoms is this metallic taste in my mouth - I get these zingers through out my body. A while back my elbows hurt so much I could not lift them and I was in tears....By the way, I'm 40 so still pretty young in my book ;-)

Thanks for your help and have a good day. ;-)

Has the aneurysm been coiled yet?
The normal proceedure for that is to see what grade it is and usually coil it but telescopic surgery.
A girlfriend of mine had it done in her brain and hers was 13cms and the op was successful.
She had a 'bleed' about a month after it was done and no side effects from it.
She was actually sitting in my lounge when it happened and it did startle me a bit but she only spent a night in hospital and it seems the 'coil' did the trick.
Shes had no problems since and this was 4 years ago.

You dont say where yours is?
maybe the breathing and shortness of breath may be to do with not enough oxygenated blood getting through and this would also cause the dizziness.

Maybe a full explanation as to whats going on with you would be great.
But if the aneurysm is in the brain, the operation is a breeze and you are given an epidural for the proceedure and the epidural goes in via the neck.
Maybe that will set your mind at ease a bit.
