Please help!!!!

I suspect I have Lupus but I'm not sure. I do not have insurance and make too much to get state assistance. I have hip pain, my left leg goes numb or feels like it's on fire, half of my left eye turns bright red, lower back pain, fatigue, nausea, weird rash on my belly that does not itch or spread, headaches, depression. I'm scared. Everyone thinks I'm making it up. I went to the ER with LLQ pain and after an internal ultrasound was told I have a neoplastic cyst on my ovary that they suspect is ovarian cancer. The pain is worse everyday. what was controlled with 200 mg vicodin is now out of control. I can't find a doctor who will help. Free clinics tell me I need to see a regular doctor. Please anyone help. I can't take this any longer.

My heart too goes out to you.  The insurance issue must be very frustrating.  I agree w/ Gina, I would not let lack of insurance keep me from getting this checked out.  Honestly, autoimmune diseases are really hard to dx and are expensive.  The test that is.  I would certainly make the ovary situation a priortiy.

Sorry to hear you are going through this.  Your profile doesn't say where you live.  If you live in the US, I would try to get in with one of the University Health Systems.  Many of them have sliding fees or other financial arrangements available.  You might also want to contact various lupus and cancer organizations.  Sometimes they will help pay for expenses.  My grandfather was given a little bit of help with his leukemia expenses from one of these organizations.

When necessary, go to the ER.  They can't turn you away and can't turn you over to collections if you are making payments each month.  Even if they tell you that you have to pay $150 a month or something and you send $5, you are still paying on the account.
