concerning medications
i am on entocort 3mg 2capsules a day. my liver enzymes were at 649 been on this drug for a month enzymes down to 169 dr. wants to put me on immuran 50mg with the entocort. does this sound good what side of effects can i expect?and what does this help?

Hi Judy,
You can easily Google those drug names for answers to side effects etc but they are both immunosuppressants and also steroid sparing agents. If you have been taking a steroid based drug for inflammation e.g. prednisone then EntoCort and Imuren are better for you long term. What are they actually treating and what symptoms do you have other than high liver enzymes. Do you have Lupus or Autoimmune Pancreatitis/Hepatitis where the immune system is going haywire?
