This is exactly why I think it is vital for patients to get actual physical copies of their test results in addition to talking to their doctors about the results of their tests.  You may see something in your medical records/test results that has been overlooked or someone has failed to mention to you, so having the actual results in hand to see with your own eyes is always a good idea and it is your right as a patient.  On the other hand, we as patients need doctors and medical professionals to help interpret for us and explain the relevance of test results.

I was told my I had a murmur, then I had a valve prolapse, then my heart was healthy and then i had an "innocent murmur". Apparently this means in my heart beat you can hear a murmur but there is nothing anatomically wrong,

hope this helps

I feel like sometimes the doctors don't tell me everything because they don't want to scare me, or don't think I'd understand, or even care. I had an ECHO in the hospital a few weeks ago and the doc said my heart was healthy. Yet, in the office, the cardiologist said I have a murmer. Don't you think there would be a reason for the murmer? I'm going to have to ask for more clarified answers next time I see either of them.

Have you had an echo (ultrasound) of your heart.  I have a murmur to and this shown on ultrasound to be mild mitral and tricuspid valve regurgitation.

Very interesting poll.

While I dont have POTS (or I don't think I do), I do have ANS problems associated With Orthostatic Intolerance and both Trace Mitral and Mild Tricuspid valve regurgitation, as well as malignant pvc's and Non-Ischemic Cardiomyopathy.

Before I had my HUTT, the dr mentioned POTS since I was having Tachycardia also and quite a few other symptoms of POTS. My results say I have classic symptoms of neurocardiogenic syncope with cardioinhibitory and vasodepressor responses.

I have so much going on I tried to pin my cardio down about a specific dx and she told me to see my GP lol so if he says yes, I'll vote.

So far, we have 5 of 11 that have tricuspid and mitral valve involvement, with two of those having even more going on.  One has just their mitral valve affected (prolapse).  Four blessedly have no regurgitation showing up (or maybe someone has just pulmonary valve regurgitation?), but one has an electrical issue w/left bundle blockage.

This is very interesting.  Hope we can get even more votes and see how it winds up!
Thanks for the activity so far and to all participating in our poll!

My heart is healthy as per all the testing done, but during a MIBI it showed that I have LBBB (left bundle branch block) but apparently nothing that can be done about that.

I had POTS before it progressed to PAF. My Echo showed mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation and tricuspid regurgitation.
