MRI results

My daughter has been diagnosed with POTS and we have seen lots of doctors and tried lots of medications.  the medications have not helped much.  She keeps complaining of headaches and sometimes, her left leg "going out from under her."  She recently had an upright MRI - my doctor said it was "normal".  I know that no one can diagnose over the internet, but I would like some advice on how to proceed now.
Thoracic - small central disc protrusions at T7-8 and T8-9 mildly impressing on the thecal sac.  cervical and brain scan were unremarkable.  Lumbar - mild broad-based disc protusion at L1-2 mildly impressing on the thecal sac.  loss of the lumbar lordosis, which may be due to myospasm.  correlate clinically.

Are these findings indeed OK or do i need to seek a further opinion?  Thanks for your help

Pots is treatable and reversible.Read the book Adrenal Fatigue by James wilson. If she has pots get her on some adrenal support. Some of the supplements he mentions are

licorice(herbal equivalent of florinef and it also heals the adrenals
so it getting to the root of the problem.

high dose Vtamin C with biflavonoids-upto 20,000 mg of vit C

Pantethine 1500mg

Herbs for adrenals include ashwagandha, ginseng, echenacea, rhodiola. These herbs are called adaptogens.

Their a few more supplements mentioned in the book.

The patient must also do a general program to recover.
This includes treating the thyroid.Go to stopthethyroidmadness.com
Chelation-read Amalgam illness by Andy cutler.
Start cleansing candida by cutting out all sugar and taking candida killers(rotate these herbs ever four days so the candida doesnt build resistance). Some herbs or supplments for this are tanalbits, formula sf772,garlic,oxygen suppleents, and their are many more you can find on the internet.
Find an integrative physician or one of those Autism doctors,The Autism doctors have a real good general program that is being used for all chronic disease.Defeat Autism Now is one group of doctors and Amy Yasko is another one with a real good program. Her websites are holisticheal.com and holistichealth.com

Those birth control pills are extremely toxic and cause severe problems.I dont know if its wise to be on them especially since she has POTS.

The symptoms listed in your above post sound very much like an autonomic dysfunction.  However, I am significantly less familiar with some of the test results you listed in your first post.  If you are questioning whether there could be something else going on with your daughters health, then I would definitely get a second opinion.  Even if you receive the same diagnosis, you might be given better treatment ideas.

How old is your daughter?  How long has your daughter been having these problems?  I hope you are able to find a treatment that gives her better control.

I thought I already posted this entry, but I don't see it.  forgive me if I am repeating myself.
I left out my daughters autonomic symptoms - she has dizziness, lightheadness, confusion, tachycardia upon standing, blood pooling in her legs, positive tilt test, she also has joint pain that travels from one joint to the other, plus neck pain, and debilitating fatigue.
right now, she is on Florinef, cymbalta, Pentasa (GI), salt pills, dextrostat, vitamin d, iron, birth control pills, multivitamin, vitamin C, L-carnitine.  It seems whenever she starts a different treatment, she improves a little bit, then we go back to square one.
I feel like there is further testing that needs to be done.  Thanks.

That is the unfortunate truth.  Many doctors choose the most convenient diagnosis, and stop there.  They aren't the ones having to live with the symptoms everyday.

What made the doctor think she had POTS?  Maybe if you list all of her symptoms we can help you further.

thanks for the advice.  getting her treated is incredibly frustrating. i am a nurse and I thought I knew how the medical system works, but I have found that doctors (for the most part) have their opinion of a diagnosis and they don't tend to vary from it.

I've never heard of the other types of problems you listed being associated with autonomic disorders.  Depending on her symptoms, I probably would take her to get a second opinion.  Could she have hurt herself in a fall from the POTS?
