I am tired of pain.

I am a 35 year old woman. I have had chronic lower back pain for sevral months. I cannot sit, stand, walk, or lay without severe pain that never lets up. It also burns. My lower back feels locked(imposible to move) and very weak.Ilose feeling in my legs and toes if i sit for to long. I have pain that goes down to my butt and continues into my upper left leg.I have to sit on pillows I vomit because of the amunt of pain. I had an x-ray and my doctor said didnt seeanything wrong. Then gave me naproxen, baclofin, and vicodin and told me to see a chiropactor.  None of the medicine does anything whatsoever fo me.This is my problem thou, I am afraid to see a chiropractor not knowing what is wrong with my back. Any advice?

As already mentioned, you need scans. Personally, I think you're smart staying away from a Chiropractor. Get a diagnosis from your doctor after scans are done, and then you can decide your course of action. Specialized Physical Therapy, not the standard stuff, healed my back after two years on the most intense pain I've ever had, and using morphine 24/7.

Any thoughts of a cat or mri scan???Xrays will not show everything, like discs (bulghing or ruptured). When I first had my problem they took xrays, told me to take 2 days off from work and I would be fine as everything looked ok...Well, three days later I still had the same pain. By the time I drove to work I was vommiting from the pain in the parking lot.. Then they did MRI and realized I had a ruptured disc. I thought I was going crazy before they did the MRI...

Peace and love to you, and good luck
